Fr Colum on BBC Radio Humberside

19th April 2016

Apostleship of the Sea (AoS) Immingham port chaplain Fr Colum Kelly was invited to share on BBC Radio Humberside's Pause for Thought (Thought of the Day) on April 19 2016.
Fr Colum speaks about how instant communication is something we take for granted these days.
"This made me think about some of the other things we take for granted. Up to 95% of all we use comes to us by sea and yet the lives of the seafarers who bring them is a mystery to many of us. Taken for granted," says Fr Colum.
"Not for them the luxuries of instant communication. They could spend months at sea without any contact to friends with family. Spare a thought for seafarers whose work is often taken for granted," urges Fr Colum.
