Vincentian Charism 400th Anniversary

13th June 2017

Our Hull & Goole port chaplain Anne McLaren and some of her ship visitors met Cardinal Vincent Nichols and Bishop Terence Drainey from Middlesbrough over the weekend.
Anne says, "It was a great privilege and blessing to be invited together with Tony Moore one of our ship visitors by the Vincentian family in Hull to the celebration of the 400th Anniversary of the Vincentian Charism on the 10th June 2017 at St Charles Borromeo Church in Hull.
"Mass was celebrated by His Eminence Cardinal Vincent Nichols Archbishop of Westminster and Bishop Terence Drainey Bishop of Middlesbrough. A reception was held afterwards at Jubilee Central Hall in Hull.
"Sr Maria Robb who is a Daughter of Charity of St Vincent de Paul and who organised the celebration is one of our ship visitors in Hull together with Nadine Henderson a postulant of the order who has just completed her training as a ship visitor. We are blessed to have them along with all our ship visitors and volunteers as members also of our AoS family."

As Anne often reminds us, "It's never dull in Hull."
