19th June 2013
On Tuesday 18th June, the parish of St Ignatius, Stamford Hill celebrated a mass of thanksgiving and presented a cheque to the Apostleship of the Sea.
At the end of April, parish priest Fr Peter Randall and more than fifty parishioners undertook their annual charity walk, this year in aid of seafarers’ charity Apostleship of the Sea (AoS). With most of the money raised collected in, AoS Trustee James Brennan and Parish Coordinator Salvina Bartholomeusz joined the Mass of thanksgiving and cheque presentation at St Ignatius’.
Many of those who undertook the walk were present and at the reception afterwards a cheque for the marvellous sum of £5,818 was presented to an overwhelmed James Brennan who thanked all those who took part for their efforts to ensure the work of the Apostleship of the Sea supporting seafarers can continue. Thank you to all those who were involved in this fundraising effort.
