Fund-raising drive benefits seafarers

01st July 2014
AoS recently received a generous donation of £500.00 from the Dover Cinque Port Catenians.
Rev Dr Gehad Homsey who was president of the Dover Circle for the year that ended in April 2014 said: “We decided that all monies raised for charity during my year would be divided between AoS and Father Gerry Jenkins of Liberia.”
The group held various social events and in February 2014 organised a banquet ball with an Egyptian theme that raised a substantial amount of money for both charities.
Dr Gehad, who is also vice president of the Cinque Port Circle presented a cheque to AoS director of development John Green.
The Catenian Association is a Catholic organisation that promotes family values through friendship and faith. You can find out more about them at www.thecatenians.co.uk
